Safety Update: Shock Absorbers

The main job of a shock absorber is to reduce the number of oscillations of the springs from hitting a bump and the spring – air bags coming into the rest position. The benefit of this is ride control, ride comfort and protection of suspension components.

It’s important to regularly check the operation and condition of your shock absorbers. Look for signs of leaks or if you feel that the vehicle isn’t absorbing bumps and low points in the road like it used to. Without regular checks with a suspension specialist, the vehicle will start to drive unevenly and this may increase the risk of accident.

For all our suspension needs we use Big Wheels in Forrestfield. They provide expert advice based on 30 years experience, use high quality parts and like us, safety comes first.
